History has repeatedly established displacement as a consequence of war—
a process in which children persist as the most defenseless and overlooked group.
Girl and the Sea confronts the loss of innocence within the context of forced migration, where the aspiration for peace is perpetually deferred for future generations.
Here, the mechanisms of erasure and suspended presence replace narrative and representation;
a condition in which the possibility of being is withdrawn before it can take form.

تاریخ، تکرار پیوسته جابه‌جایی ناشی از جنگ‌ها را تثبیت کرده است؛ فرآیندی که در آن، کودکان همواره بی‌دفاع‌ترین و فراموش‌شده‌ترین گروه‌ها بوده‌اند.
«دختر و دریا» مواجهه‌ای است با فقدان معصومیت در بستر مهاجرت اجباری؛ جایی که آرزوی صلح، برای نسل‌های آینده، همواره به تعویق افتاده باقی می‌ماند.
در این اثر، مکانیزم حذف و تعلیق حضور، جای روایت و تصویر را می‌گیرد؛ وضعیتی که در آن امکانِ بودن، پیش از تحقق، از میان برداشته می‌شود.
